A practical route into real work.

The GRIT pathway is designed for individuals who are capable, motivated and ready to work, but who been held back by traditional recruitment routes.

1. Register interest on (Contact Us)

Individuals join GRIT by submitting a short application that focuses on:

  • Where they’re based

  • Their current situation

  • Their interests and goals

  • A short video explaining why they want to be part of GRIT

No CV filters. No automated rejections. Just real people, reviewed properly.

2.Interview process

After registering intrest you will be directly contacted by one of our team

  • Arrange a time slot
  • Hold a 15 minute interview with one of our team.
  • Get a DBS background check
  • Get confirmation of if you have been successful

3. Matching Opportunity

We work directly with businesses to identify real roles where support is needed.

When an opportunity becomes available, we:

  • Match it with suitable GRIT candidates in the same location

  • Shortlist based on attitude, potential, and fit

  • Conduct brief interviews to confirm alignment

4. Trial and placement

Before any long-term commitment:

  • Individuals complete a short trial period with the business

  • Both sides assess fit, expectations, and working style

  • If successful, a fixed-term placement is agreed

This reduces risk for businesses and ensures the opportunity is right for the individual.

5. Paid work and progression

Once placed, individuals:

  • Are paid for their work

  • Gain hands-on experience in a professional environment

  • Build confidence, capability, and real references

GRIT supports both sides throughout the placement to ensure expectations are met and progress is made.
